Research on Edinburgh Folk Scene 1960 - 95
I’ve started this voyage to a PhD.
My intention is to start interviewing those active on the scene in the 1960’s and progress forward. We have lost so many experiences undocumented and time the sad reality is more stories and info will be lost forever.
I’ve recorded several people active in the 60s to date. It’s not just performers, anyone attending the old clubs, the Howff, the Crown, The Waverley etc etc please get in touch if I’ve not spoken to you already.
Key to Success
I want to speak to as broad a cross section of people involved in the scene as possible. Interviews (audio) will be recorded and made available on a non profit basis online, and in the appropriate university archive for public access.

Total Process
I've had several meetings, it looks like the PhD will need to be self funded but I do have the commitment for that as I am deeply interested in what the research will establish.
Sonic Logo
Together we can produce a sustainable and identifiable sonic logo for your brand. Whilst incidental music for 20 minute marketing videos are the heart of our commercial work in this area, companies are recognising the benefits of having an identifiable sonic logo for their brand.
This is quite separate from a jingle and goes hand in hand with a strong visual logo.
Anyone that feels they can contribute. I've already found names of clubs, short lived ventures etc that many on svene knew about but had forgotten. This should be a learning experience for all.
