ProMuso Blog Number One! The First. Perhaps the last?

www.promuso.co.uk

This I guess is where I will add blogs. I’ve been told to add blogs to attract business to ProMuso but being self opinionated, it seems a great way to pollute the world with my personal view on acoustic music, particularly jazz, folk (I and others will continue to use this term) and classical, and particularly in Scotland.

I’ll get an Instagram account going, a separate Facebook too, a YouTube channel, again as I’m told that I ‘must’.

How busy do I want to be though? To me all projects in whatever walk of life, if they have not been prostituting myself for ridiculous payments, have all been about the quality and really investing myself in it. If someone offers to pay me double studio time to accompany, record and make their 6 year old squawking grandkid sound vaguely in tune, I won’t do it. For £1,000 a day though I will, so I’m not all that precious or principled. However the point is, I really want only work where I feel a connection with and one where I can add value.

So, I’m off to spend some time in the I.T. world learning how to develop a website when all I want to do this week is write a few tunes, for a future folk instrumental album, but learning is never a bad thing.

As you’ve probably guessed this brief blog is to test how to blog online, (via WordPress then via plug-ins then via Elementor if you need to be assaulted with detail), but I cannot promise that future blogs will be better considered, include as much questionable grammar and demonstrate the splendid grouchiness that aging enforces others to be more accepting of.
