Audio Restoration
This is a precise art. Countless of salvageable recordings from analogue sources have been destroyed by heavy handed audio manipulation or by use of cheap USB turntables or cassette transfer decks which look to improve and digitally transfer recordings, whilst destroying the soul of the original data available from those recordings.
We use hardware and software to forensically reduce hiss, clicks, rumble, hum etc prior to sound enhancement. We listen to every click, not make a broad pass over a recording and assume all will be the same. This often used crude method removes the soul from recordings that often can’t be replaced sympathetically.
This time intensive method has a cost but is required to produce the highest results. We have through benchmarking found that this cost for an enhanced service is not always more expensive than less analytical services provided by competitors in this area.
Software includes Sonnox, FabFilter. iZotope, Acon, Waves and Cedar. All excellent in their own right but each has it’s own areas of real excellence, when used correctly.

Following restoration we can output to any digital format, including up to 192kb, which is 4 times the definition of a CD. Given the original source generally would mean a lower resolution would be more appropriate, we can output to MP3, Wav etc for download and distribution, or make small run CDs or even cassettes if preferred.
Output Formats

We can improve recordings from almost any original sound source and where we don't have equipment similar to that the original was recorded on (Victorian wax cylinders etc) we shall source them. Home recorded and old promotional cassettes, open reels, poor quality vinyl, ex VHS recordings, video camera etc all possible.
